Witnesses of the Resurrection

2–3 minutes

Salvation 2025 | Day 10

“Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.” — Acts 1:22 (KJV)
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” — Acts 4:33 (KJV)

We are not called to be mere commentators on the historical life and ministry of Jesus. We were not present in Bethlehem, Galilee, or Gethsemane. But we are divinely ordained, called, and anointed to be witnesses of His resurrection. This witness is not anchored in secondhand reports but in present reality. Christ lives in us, still appears to many, and will return in glory.

Yet, this witness is not accomplished through eloquence or natural wisdom. It is empowered by the Spirit. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now works in us, not for words alone, but for wonders. The world does not hunger for arguments but for demonstration, the power of God on display. We have been given the Holy Spirit not merely for comfort, but for evidence: signs, miracles, healings, and the manifest authority of the risen Christ.

Witnesses bear evidence. What is the proof of your testimony? What can you demonstrate without contradiction? In the marketplace, in the church, in the corridors of power, God is summoning a people who will not merely speak of resurrection but prove it. It is a call to awaken from complacency, to rise in faith, and to declare with undeniable power that Jesus Christ is alive.

To bear such witness is to embrace a life of consecration, to walk in both character and charisma. The early apostles did not only proclaim Christ but reflected Him in power, purity, and boldness. Their lives were marked by signs and self-sacrifice, by truth and transformation. That same call rests upon us today. Being witnesses of the resurrection means being living proof of what Christ has accomplished — not just in theology, but in reality. It means to live as those who have died with Him and now live by His life. This is more than a message. It is a manifestation.
