Salvation 2025 | Day 16
“I am the true vine, and my father is the husbandman.”
John 15:1 NIV
Jesus described Himself as the TRUE Vine that all branches must be attached to for fruitfulness. In Isaiah 11, there is a prophecy about the Christ who will be a shoot from the stem of Jesse and a branch growing from His roots. This talks about Jesus’s natural descent and it further talks about how He extends from the shoot of Jesse to stand on its own as a fruit bearing branch. The word ‘Branch’ is also used in some of the Messianic prophecies to describe the chosen one who is Jesus (the branch of The Lord be beautiful and glorious Is. 4:2, the righteous branch Jer. 23:5, 33:15, my servant the branch Zec 3:8, the man whose name is the branch Zec. 6:12).
Jesus branches from the shoot of Jesse and stands as a Vine unto whom all branches must be attached for fruitfulness. This was necessary for two major reasons. First, because the old shoot was unfruitful (unrighteous and weakened) and second, to open a new way for everyone to be able to join this vine (the old shoot did not allow for gentile inclusion). Jesus stands as the way, truth, and life and the only means to the Father. Everyone who wants to come to the Father must come through Jesus — Jews and gentiles alike.
Regardless of your natural descent or culture, Jesus is the only way to God approved by God. There may be many differing faiths and religions but there is one that is birthed by God Himself. Jesus is the only one that has God declared that we hear him. Christianity is not a ‘white man’s religion’ or an alien faith. It is the faith for all men from every nation.
God is calling humanity unto Himself. He is calling us to a walk and fellowship with Him. A walk of righteousness, holiness, and His will. As many as are willing, He will not cast away. Not by our strength nor by our might but by Faith in Jesus, we will walk with God unto eternity. There is life in Jesus — the life of God — which He is readily offering us.
You may have questions, or doubts, or even be in a dilemma, but I present Jesus to you as the answer and clarity you need. Have Faith in Jesus and in Jesus alone.
