Walking In The Light of Life

2–3 minutes

Salvation 2025 | Day 25

“… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10b NIV

Imagine giving someone the latest iPhone, only to watch them use it solely for texting and making calls. They never explore the camera, apps, or advanced features that make the device powerful and transformative. In many ways, this is how some believers treat the life that Christ has given us. We reduce it to a basic experience: escaping judgment and making it to heaven, without truly living in the fullness of what that life entails.

Jesus did not come just to save us from destruction. He came to give us life. And not just any kind of life, but zoe, God’s very own self-sustaining eternal life. It is the divine essence that God has chosen to share with us. Through salvation, we are not just forgiven. We are filled with His life. We are made partakers of the divine nature, capable of knowing God and walking in the vitality that affects our spirit, soul, and body.

This abundant life is not confined to spiritual experiences alone. It extends to our physical health, mental clarity, emotional well-being, and the daily joy of walking in purpose. Psalm 35:27 declares that the Lord delights in the prosperity of His servant. The word used for prosperity in that passage is shalom, which means more than wealth. It means completeness, safety, peace, and wholeness in every dimension of life.

We were not saved just to survive this world. We were saved to thrive in it. God’s intention is not for us to drag through life hoping to endure until heaven. His will is for us to walk in peace, to flourish in purpose, to experience fulfillment, and to manifest the excellence of heaven right here on earth. He did not offer us a partial experience. He offered us His very best. And the very best, Christ Himself, paid the ultimate price to make that life available.

So do not settle for the bare minimum. Do not live as though salvation was only about avoiding judgment. Walk in the full light of life. Embrace the zoe that now flows through you. Let it influence how you think, how you live, and how you impact others. Maximize the finished works of Christ. Live each day with the awareness that you are carrying the very life of God within you.

You have received His best. Now live like it.
