Free from Condemnation

1–2 minutes

||Rhema for the Week||

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” — John 5:24

Condemnation is a heavy chain that keeps many bound. It robs peace, clouds joy, and plants the fear that past mistakes will determine the future. It is like a quiet invader that slowly drains spiritual strength. The voice of self-condemnation is often the loudest, speaking words of guilt, shame, and unworthiness until hope feels out of reach.

Yet in John 5:24, Jesus offers a clear and unshakable promise. Eternal life and freedom from condemnation belong to those who do two things: listen to His message and believe in the God who sent Him. This is not an abstract idea—it is a divine guarantee. To believe in Christ is to step out of death into life, and once that step is taken, no one, not even your own heart, has the right to condemn you.

If the righteous Judge declares you free, why put yourself on trial again? When God says “no condemnation,” He means it completely. Self-condemnation is a deception meant to keep you from living in the joy of your salvation. The truth is that your freedom is not a feeling you fight to hold on to—it is a promise already sealed by the Word of God.

This week, let your heart rest in this truth. When the enemy whispers accusations, silence them with the voice of Scripture. When shame tries to take root, remind yourself of the cross where Christ paid it all. Freedom is yours, not because you are perfect, but because you belong to the One who is.
